My game got picked to be made…
the fellow members of my group are:
Daniel Clelland - lead game mechanic
Joya Boerrigter - Level designer
Jason - Animator
Brayden Latimer - Lead artist
and myself - Lead Designer
Today we had a group meeting to go over the concept and nit pick out the details of the game.
Game overview:
There will be a little lonely boy wanting to make a robotic dog as a friend, to do this he must find the parts and build him due to blueprints he found at the library. His entire world runs on electricity but there is only a certain amount that can be used at one point. So for his travels he must plug and unplug, switch on and off and interact with things in order to more forward. The entire world is a puzzle and you have to find the right key in order to keep going.
Game aesthetic:
Very mechanical, industrial almost futuristic feel. conflict with silhouette style so mock up sketches will be done so a defined aesthetic can be decided upon.
The main aim of the game is for the environment and world to be the main animated and interactive thing not the main character.
Each person has jobs to do before we meet up again on tuesday to go over presentation for wednesday
